Here is my new blog, I haven't been doing enough photography to support my other blog, I'll update it when I do do something sweet, but no promises. I won't be writing here on a regular basis, what I'm going to do here is when I find something I want to share I'll write about it. Lately that has been happening alot so expect probably one a week. Now what this blog is actually focused towards is sharing music that maybe most people haven't heard about. Or reminding them about something that people forgot about that is worth a second look. I'm not saying I know enough about the music industry or that I'm a good enough musician to be any sort of authority on music. I do however spend all my youtube time towards listening to music and learning more about music. So I'll let you decide whether I post anything good or not. I'm going to start this blog with 3 bands that are worth checking out. (how many I do each time will change)
First up is Obadiah Parker.
This guy got alot of recognition from a video on youtube (of course) He did a cover of Outcast's Hey Ya, which is amazing. The video was even the answer to a question on Jeperdy. Since then he has recorded his first album. "The Siren and the Saint" (http://www.obadiahparker.com/new/elihu.php) Theres not alot I can say about this guy other than check him out he's got tonnes of talent.
Here is the video that made him famous. (Sorry It's just a link, embedding was disabled.)

The second is Adrian Glynn
I don't think I've come across a person that is as good raw as this guy is. From BC Adrian has had pretty good success in vancouver. He has performed that the Vancouver City Limits show (youtube it) A song from his EP can be heard on the Canadian show "The Guard" and he's had alot of air time on CBC radio.
Here is a song that really shows his uncut singing ability as the video was filmed in one continueous shot and has unedited audio
Here he is performing at the VCL show
Lastly from out east is Jamal Maneli
Jamal has a really interesting history. He was born in Iraq, but raised in Germany untill he was in his early teens. Then his parents brought him to the United States where he lived Minnesota untill his late teens. Then his family was issued a deportation notice, they were forced to move to toronto, and this is when he got his first guitar. Now he's developed a really interesting style that mixes Drifting, fingerstyle and Flamenco really well.
My personal favourite
This is his entry to Guitar Idol, in which he made it further than any other acoustic artist. He did not quite make it to the end though.
